River of Souls: Chains of Death

River of Souls: Chains of Death is a version of the River of Souls 20-man raid that can be completed by 1 very well-geared (raid geared) or over-leveled (52+) player. It was designed to be done by 2 expert geared level 50 players.

Bosses[]

Ithluk the Corrupted - Once you engage the encounter you get about 15-20 seconds of easy DPS. Ithluk will then summon 3 minions. Once you kill the minions, after 10 seconds or so, their bodies will do an AoE explosion. Ithluk summons the 3 minions about every 30 seconds.

Tychus Ranthar - Tychus starts with 2 minions. When you engage he will Charge to where you are. Kill he minions first. After about 20 seconds he will levitate you and throw you back. He will also do a special attack that can do serious damage. I have found that simply backing out of range will do the trick. Once he is done he will charge to you again and repeat.

Gaurath - Once you engage Gaurath you will be able to get him to 49% health. He will then fly up into the air and castAriel Barrage. You will need to run around and avoid them till he comes back down. One he finishes channeling Ariel Barrage he will land. He will then become attackable again. Gaurath will then cast Miasma of Suffering. This spell spawns items that will damage you and heal him if they are within range. You will only need to get Gaurath to 10% health. At that point Alsbeth takes over and finishes him off.

Sinthis - Sinthis is a Rare Dungeon Boss and is only available in a small percentage of instances. Once you engage this encounter you have 10 seconds till he cast his stun. After about 10 more seconds he will teleport to behind you and have a damage shield/ damage reflect buff for about 10 seconds. Once that expires he will cast an AoE dot and a buff so he does an extra 15% damage. He will then cycle between the teleport and damage shield.
